Rembrandt’s house comes to life even more with our new multimedia tour! During your visit to the museum, watch and listen to stories about Rembrandt: his life in this house, the development he went through as an artist and the people he encountered here and in the neighbourhood. Follow Rembrandt’s life course from a young, successful artist who lived life full of bravura, to an introverted older man who went his own way.
The multimedia tour is available free of charge when you visit the Rembrandt House Museum. You can choose from 13 languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, (Brazilian) Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Arabic and Hebrew (Ivrit).
The multimedia tour offers a number of different options for exploring Rembrandt’s house. You can choose the main line, which takes about 20 minutes. You can also go for the full multimedia tour experience, which lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
Rembrandt sandwich
Want to do something fun during your lunch break? Come by for a Rembrandt sandwich! From March 30, 2023, we will be organizing a mini tour every Thursday at 1:00 PM: in fifteen minutes our curators and educators will tell you more about a special work of art or object at Rembrandt’s home. Registration is not necessary: participation is free and freely accessible after purchasing an entrance ticket for the museum. The working language of Broodje Rembrandt is Dutch.
Guided tour of Rembrandt’s house (exclusively for groups)
Are you visiting the museum with a group of up to 15 people? Then you can also book a guided tour. Entrance tickets for the museum are 17.50 euros per person, with 1 companion joining the group for free. The supplement for a guided tour is 100 euros (incl. VAT).
